I photograph dogs for a living. Can I say I have the best job in the world? Spending the morning with these three was definitely an adventure! First up is Finnigan an Airedale Labrador mix. He is two years old and bounding with energy! Doesn’t he look like he’s enjoying time at a pet resort? Fortunately for the pups, this is their backyard.
Meet Tick, a Bluetick Hound – very appropriately named!
Adrian Hitt is a nationally recognized, award-winning dog photographer who creates modern, playful works of art. Her interest in dog photography is founded in her desire to celebrate and encourage the deep bond that develops between human and animal, parent and dog. In her free time, she photographs dogs awaiting adoption at local rescues and shelters. Her proudest moment? Spending everyday with the inspiration behind her career – Benny a charming -and perfect- lab mix rescue. Adrian lives in Nashville, Tennessee and travels nationwide to photograph America’s beloved pets.

Finnigan just looks like he is saying…”Hey…what’s up?” I love his expression. Tick is simply smiling at the camera like he knows that’s what he’s supposed to do. Lily is just beautiful…like her owner. You captured such personality in each photo.
Gorgeous photos. Yes, you must have the best job in the world (except, perhaps, that of the cat photographer!). Must say, much as I love my old friend, Mme. Sherrie, that photo of the Bluetick is incredible.
All three photos are awesome. Finnigan looks like he owns the place. Tick is precious, just like he knows his picture is being made….and the last…I’ve always wanted a redbone hound! Lily’s fun personality is showing and her mom’s face shows the love for her baby!
These are wonderful photos and you have beautiful models! I love the different personality shown in each photo, nice composition and color.
What cool dogs! What cool shots!
It is so difficult to capture the absolute dignity and “wonderfulness”of hound dogs. You did it with the hounds and also with Finn. Congratulations!
I am so glad to see these incredible photos! Each dog’s personality has been reflected perfectly, and the shot of Lily and Sherrie really does capture the magic of one of so many sweet moments shared between a mom and her baby.
Just adorable dogs!!!! Great action shot of Tick, while Lily and Finnigan just couldn’t be having better days. I would be very interested having some work done after seeing these results!!!
Great pics! They really show the personality of the different dogs!
Wonderful photos! I love all three photos, but especially Finn’s picture! Lily’s son Boone is jealous and wants his portrait done professionally now.
Ah, my family of models. Didn’t realize I had such “cele-pups” in my midst 😉 Wonderful pictures of some amazing dogs.
Wonderful photos! Finnigan, Tick and Lillian look so natural and happy. I wish I’d taken more pictures of my dogs over the years.
LOVE these pictures! And that sweet little old face of Tick just gets to me! They are lucky pups and their mom is an angel!!
Your photos are fabulous! But I have to say, you’re indeed lucky, because your subject matter is pretty darn fabulous too. Finn, Tick and Lily have never looked better. Sherrie looks adorable too! I loved perusing your website.
There’s something human about these three dogs. Maybe because their owner puts so much of herself into everything she does. Great photos of a happy family.
These photographs of Finn, Tick, and Lilly capture what we all treasure about our dogs — love, affection, and utter joy. You have captured their beauty and playfulness and exuberant spirit. I am going outside now… to play, laugh, and run with my dogs.
Thank you!
I think Finnigan has it made! What a treat to have a bed outside. Looks like you captured Tick. What a hound! And who doesn’t like a belly rub?
The photos of the Moseley dogs – Finn, Tick and the lovely Lily are beyond! So great and capture their individual personalities so beautifully. I am a fan!
These photos are fabulous! Looks like you really captured the personalities of these fine pooches.
You captured the personality of all 3 dogs and the love shows in their “mom’s” eyes.
I love your lighting and settings plus you have captured the sweetness of each dogs eyes…awesome.
i love all those hounds!!!! gorgeous, gorgeous photos!!
Wonderful photos! Each one is so different. The photo of Finnegan is beautiful and the one of Tick looks so natural. Lily’s photo is precious…I love how she is enjoying her belly rub from her mom, but still looking right at you.
how wonderful!!
I love all three of these photos. They put a smile on my face.
Finn at the spa is great but I’m a sucker for a hound so Lily & Mommy would have to be my fav!! Thanks for sharing these photos.
I really enjoyed the special photos of Finn, Tick, and Lily. They brought a smile to my face!! Got to go my Jack Russell wants to play ball!!
The photo of Tick is so pure….. or Adrian captures his purity. It’s so amaaaaazing that Adrian got Finn to sit still, he is always up to somthin’, and I think you captured his alter ego!
Lilly just melts with sweetness. Maybe she’s the pure one.
Lovely shots!!!!
Adorable I’m pretty sure I’ve said this before, but the puppies you photograph always look so happy!
Got my photos yesterday of my babies and I just want to cry every time I look at them. HAPPY tears They are just so beautiful. Adrian, you totally captured their hearts and spirit. I have no idea how you did it…they seemed to have their own agenda the morning of our session, but you were so patient and had the creative eye to see beyond their craziness! These are photos of a lifetime and I will cherish them always.
