I have a new favorite city. Chicago! I was there last week for dog sessions and fell in love. (And if Nashville decides to make 90 degree weather the standard for Spring days, I may have to fly north more often. 😉 ) My close friends know that I have a slight obsession with the show Gilmore Girls. It started in college and I’ve been in love ever since. The fast talking, wit and uniquely close relationship of the stars of the show – mother and daughter, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore – never ceases to suck me in – even now, 3 years after the show ended. Anyway, I know you are wondering why I’m rattling about this. Well, I met a real-life Lorelai and Rory in Arlington Heights. Beth and Lindsey have an incredible bond and I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon with them. Many times I just stepped back from my camera and admired their relationship. Beth is a great woman and special mom. Lindsey is 13 (which we all know can be an awkward, confusing time of life), but she’s bright, sweet and a beautiful girl. And to make her even more perfect, she has a huge heart for pups. Once she saw Herci on Petfinder she knew she had to adopt him! So at 10 years old, she wrote a proposal to her mom about why they should drive 10 hours to adopt Herci. And well, the rest is history. Meet Beth, Lindsey, Herci and Molly. A lovely dog family!
As soon as I saw Herci’s underbite, I was smitten!
Nothing to see here! (Molly looks guilty, doesn’t she?)
Happy Mother’s Day, Beth.
