Looking for a friend?
A month ago, we posted a blog about Roxy and Oliver, two sweet dogs who were rescued by a friend. Fortunately, Roxy was adopted, but Oliver – who recently finished a training program – is still looking for a new home. He’s playful, sweet and well-trained. In the meantime, he is going to a temporary foster home in Nolensville, but we hope that someone out there is searching for a most-friendly companion.
As some of you may know, Benny was adopted from a shelter in Columbia, TN. Last week, Adrian visited the rescue to deliver 40 pounds of dog food for all the comments on this blog entry (thank you everyone!) and she was smitten by Pebbles, this charming puppy who is also available for adoption. Pebbles is a three month old boxer-mix and is part of a litter, so there are a few puppies available.
If you would like more information or are interested in adopting Oliver or Pebbles, post a comment and we’ll get back to you soon. And, please pass the information along if you know a family who might be interested. Thanks!
Benefit Concert for Haiti
In other news, on Saturday, February 27, there is a rockin’ benefit concert at The Ryman Auditorium to raise money for children in Haiti. Big Kenny is hosting the Nashville event (there is also a concert in Los Angeles) which includes performances by Alison Krauss and Union Station, Jerry Douglas, Jars of Clay, Mat Kearney, Brandon Heath, Dave Barnes and Matt Wertz. Tickets range from $25 t0 $75 and proceeds go to Compassion International, an organization that is working to provide food, clean water, clothing, medical supplies, and shelter to 15,000 families in Haiti. The concerts, sponsored by Gaylord Entertainment Company, will be streamed live at HelpHaiti.com, so if you can’t attend, you can always make a donation online. Otherwise, if you don’t already have plans, purchase your tickets at The Ryman.
Until the end of this week, for every session booked in February (not necessarily photographed) we will be donating $50 to IFAW to aid in their efforts to help the animals in Haiti.
Have a good afternoon!
