Black Mouth Cur Dog Photographer

Belle is a fawn Black Mouth Cur (like Old Yeller). She owns these newlyweds Mark and Cameron. We met up on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon to capture the special bond they share as a dog family. They drove down from Kentucky to have me photograph their sweet pup and I’m so honored! I had such a great time chasing Belle around Franklin. Enjoy these!

One of the “perks” of being a dog photographer – my clients tend to roll in random piles of poo… 😉 Have a great weekend, everyone!

English Bulldog

Belle is an English Bulldog with brindle coloring. Don’t you just love all of her crinkles and wrinkles? They’re so smoochable! She is an absolute love. We had a great time early Saturday morning running around for our dog session. Jeff and Crystal were so great but I do think that Belle stole the show. Enjoy some of my favorites from our session!

They ordered a canvas of this for their home and I love it!

Lap it up before you run it off!

One of the many reasons I love Nashville is because we have so many wonderful dog-lovers here. I love my dog park buddies and all, but sometimes it is nice to meet other dog folks when I am not in my sweats at the park. On the first Thursday of every month (yes that would be tomorrow, December 2nd) try out Lappy Hour at Eastland Cafe in East Nashville. The pups can socialize and you can too! Cocktails and appetizers are $5 and there is plenty of water and gourmet treats for the dogs!

Remember how last January you said you were going to run a 5k in 2010? Have you made good on that New Year’s resolution yet? Hehe. Well now is your chance for you and the four-legged kiddos to leash up and complete that goal. Saturday, December 11 at Shelby Bottoms Park is the 6th Annual Snowflake 5k benefiting Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee and it is DOG FRIENDLY!! Hooray! This year has an added dose of exciting included in the festivities with the addition of awards for dogs. Both humans and dogs will receive a time chip upon registration. Awards will be given for fastest, friskiest, and most fashionable dogs. Registration starts at 7:30AM and the race begins at 9:00AM. Additional details and pre-registration information can be found here.

Cassie is the studio manager for Adrian Hitt Photography. She keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes and frequents the blog often with her tips on what’s going on in the dog world. In addition to her work here, Cassie freelances in the local music scene, volunteers with animal rescues and enjoys being outside with her pups. She lives in Nashville and is the proud parent of Jeffery, Ittey and Banjo – two rescue dogs and one awesome orange cat!

I wish I could do that with my tongue.

Changing of the Collars

It’s that time of year! The annual changing of my collars:)

My fall collar:

And my Christmas collar:

Pretty snazzy if I say so myself!

Benny is the coolest pup you’ll meet. With a built-in radar for dog parks, impeccable treat tasting capabilities, an expansive vocabulary and strong squirrel sensors, he was a no-brainer for the writer of our dog product reviews. Being the rescue who inspired Adrian’s dog photography, expect to see a lot of him around here!
