Volunteer with Agape Animal Rescue

We’ve all been there, nose to nose with an animal in need, unable to adopt them and bring them home with us. But adoption isn’t the only way you can help give animals in need a second chance.

Agape Animal Rescue is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers willing to help their dogs and cats ready themselves for their new leash on life. These volunteers assist with Petsmart adoption days, organize events, conduct home visits, attend training sessions and transport adoptable animals when needed.

If you’d like to give back to deserving animals by volunteering with Agape Animal Rescue, all that’s left to do is to fill out an application!

Glitter and Glam: A Wine Tasting and Fashion Show for the Animals

On July 17, Agape Animal Rescue will be turning the cat-walk into a dog-walk at the third annual Glitter and Glam: A Wine Tasting and Fashion Show for the Animals. In a fashion walk-off between dogs and their people, the Nashville Predators Dancers will model designs by Sarah Lindsey Mallory, while the canines will strut down the dog-walk working the couture designs of Linda Higgins.

During the show, Agape Animal Rescue is also facilitating a silent auction. Items include weekend pet retreats, striking artwork and Nashville Predator merchandise! Complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres will also be served.

Fashion goes to the dogs on July 17 at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel located at 2100 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203. The doors open at 5PM and the show wraps up at 8PM. Be sure to bring your cocktail attire and a passion for fashion. All proceeds from the event go directly to Agape Animal Rescue. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here. For more information about the event, please visit Agape Animal Rescue’s website.

A Simpler Life

Most of us suffer from too much tension and stress in the hustle of modern urban living, where minute-by-minute consideration are frequently complex and demand a whole range of conflicting compromises. By contrast, the friendly contact of a pet dog or cat serves to remind us of the survival of simple, direct innocence even inside the dizzy whirlpool we refer to as civilization.

Oh what a cuuuuuuuute image!!

The Eyes of a Dog

At times it was like gazing into a human soul, to look into his eyes; and what I saw there frightened me. I tell you I sensed something big in that brute’s eyes; there was a message there, but I wasn’t big enough myself to catch it … it gave me a feeling of kinship all the same. Oh, no, not sentimental kinship. It was, rather, a kinship of equality.

Lifestyle Photography – Pet Photos

This was such a fun session! Remember this Cavalier King Charles Spaniel? Rufus owns this adorable couple. We shot their session at their downtown loft and an overgrown field in west Nashville. Perfect combination! Rufus was such a good little model and was eager to please. Happy Friday and enjoy the warm weekend:)
