A Dog in the Fall

I’m working on dog photos from a recent session, and I had to stop to share this beautiful Lab named Boston. More to come!

We had a nice fall weekend surrounded by good friends, yummy food and lots of laughter. I hope yours was the same!

Fall is here!

No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace

As I have seen in one autumnal face.

JOHN DONNE

Fall is here and it is wonderful! I don’t know a sane person who hasn’t welcomed these lovely (and cooler) temperatures. The sweet sunshine lights up my soul! The transition to fall is my favorite seasonal change (you couldn’t tell, could you?:)). The colors, the warm sun, fallen leaves with raindrops and the smell of campfires all fill me with happiness. What are your favorite parts of fall?

Fall isn’t only the arrival of crackling fires, crunchy leaves and cheers for football, but also our busiest time of the year! Our weekend dates are filling up and holiday deadlines are approaching. October and November are the ideal time for a session, and the earlier the better. We only have 2 now 1 weekend slot left in October! (We do have more weekday times open.) Let us know if you’d like to get on the calendar! We’d love to see you and especially your dogs.:)Have a great fall!

Have I ever told you you’re an absolutely freaking amazing dogographer? Okay, I probably have once or twice. But I really mean it!

well, you’re amazingly kind! :)

Nashville Dog Photographer

There is a particular shot that is requested more than any other, and I’ve been told I’m known for it. It’s one I’ve been doing for years and love the challenge of making each “repeat” of it look different from all the others. It started with a cute couple. They were my first couple session with a dog, and I remember being so excited! It was right before I decided to focus my business on dogs, and it was this session that gave me the confidence I needed to move forward with dog photography and create Adrian Hitt Dogography.

Before sessions, if I am familiar with the location, I plot out the flow of the shoot and come up with shot ideas. This was the shot I was most excited about, but almost forgot it. Fortunately, as we were leaving, I remembered and sweet little Poppy had plenty of cuteness left.

Here it is – the beginning of my dog photos with their humans’ legs. I hope you enjoy! There were so many photos that I broke this into two posts, so stay tuned for the follow up! Have a great weekend. Fall is here!
