Our fourth dog of Christmas is Danny! Danny is a 3 year old chihuahua. This little guy was so calm while we took pictures, we thought maybe he forgot he is a chihuahua! For the 3rd day of 12 Dogs of Christmas, we thought Piper would brighten your day! You know that Christmas party you attend, and there’s always that one person who everyone wants to be around, and who is the life of the party? That’s Piper, in dog form! She’s sweet and personable, without being hyper. And because this sweet terrier just turned 1, she’s still waiting to have a party to celebrate her birthday with her family. 12 Dogs of Christmas 2012

This is our third annual 12 Dogs of Christmas! For the next 12 days we will share one pooch a day that is hoping for a forever home for Christmas. In previous years, the featured dogs have always gotten adopted and with your help, we’re hoping to do the same this year! Please pass this series along to your friends and family. You never know who may see a dog they’d like to rescue! This is such a fun project for me and the perfect way to wrap up the year. Hope you enjoy!

When trying to decide which dog to kick off 2012 with, I couldn’t think of a sweeter face than Franklin‘s. He is a nine-month-old, neutered Shepherd mix puppy with the sweetest demeanor. I fell in love with his handsome looks and great disposition. If he looks like the pup for you, please contact Happy Tales Humane in Franklin. There’s nothing he’d love more than to have a family!

Miracle on Music Row This Saturday December 15!

If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, check out the 3rd Annual Miracle on Music Row this Saturday, December 15 from 10a to 3p. Emmylou Harris will be hosting the charity event, which benefits Bonaparte’s Retreat Dog Day Rescue. Held at O.liv body bar in Edgehill Village, this event includes a pet parade with Santa, pet costume contest, silent auction, shopping, and food. And of course, no event held on Music Row is complete without a concert, featuring Emmylou herself and a host of other great artists! While admission is free, a donation of $20 is recommended. Jessalynn is the studio manager for Adrian Hitt Photography. She coordinates smooth operations behind the scenes and updates the blog on what’s the “woof” in the dog world. A Nashville native, Jess uses her degrees in communications and entrepreneurship to support creative business. When she’s not working, she can be found with paintbrush & power tools tackling home improvement projects, trying new recipes & crafts from Pinterest, and tossing tennis balls in the backyard with the main men in her life- her husband and their rescue dogs, Waffles & Rocco.
