Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable dog family. It was a blustery day, but these pups were troopers! Hope you enjoy Elvis, a Toy Poodle; Panda, a Pomeranian and Brody, a Finnish Lapphund. Let their sweet faces warm you today

If you’ve been looking for your dog’s moment in the spotlight, look no further! Nashville Lifestyles is holding their 2013 Cover Dog Search. Bring your pup next Sunday, March 24th from 1-3p to Cheekwood and your pet could be named top dog! (There will be TEN dogs featured in the magazine this year!) Judging will be conducted by a celebrity panel, and dog parents can enjoy music, snacks, and offerings from sponsors. Advance entry is $20 per dog; day of entries will be $25. Don’t wait for Fido’s chance at fame- you can purchase your tickets here or find more details at the Nashville Lifestlyes’ event website. Here’s a peek at last year’s cover (shot by Adrian!).

In excitement for spring’s arrival, we’ve been looking at some of our favorite sessions from last year. Here is one that absolutely captures the time of year perfectly! Our sweet friend Devon with her French bulldog Pearl makes us smile. Is there anything more carefree than a dog in a garden? We can just imagine the smell of the flowers in the warm sun now!
Adrian Hitt is a nationally recognized, award-winning dog photographer who creates modern, playful works of art. Her interest in dog photography is founded in her desire to celebrate and encourage the deep bond that develops between human and animal, parent and dog. In her free time, she photographs dogs awaiting adoption at local rescues and shelters. Her proudest moment? Spending everyday with the inspiration behind her career – Benny a charming -and perfect- black mouth cur shepherd rescue. Adrian lives in Nashville, Tennessee and travels nationwide to photograph America’s beloved pets.
In times of joy, all of us wish we possessed a tail we could wag.
