As you know, this past weekend was Brown Dog Foundation’s Top Dog and Top Cat Competition. Benny was a contestant, but sadly didn’t take the crown. However, through the wonderful clients of Adrian Hitt Photography, he raised right under $1100! All of that directly benefits the foundation. Thank you for playing a part in saving animals’ lives. Here are a few highlights from the evening:
Benny proudly wearing his medallion!
On the right, he is hanging out with Laura as I photographed the event.
All of the great sponsors!
Webb, the “kissing” country hound sold kisses for $1 to benefit Brown Dog. And this guy was just too handsome to leave out!
Meet Finnbar the pug! He deservingly won the crown by raising around $5500! He represented a pug rescue you should definitely check out: Music City Pug Rescue
Katie took 2nd place by raising a little over $3000. Such a good girl.
One vendor I have to mention is Primm Springs Foods. They provided the vegetarian option for the event and oh my – so delicious! She made their patented soysage quesadillas and freshly squeezed lemonade. It was fantastic. You can purchase the soysage at The Produce Place, Wild Oats or Whole Foods. Check out their website for recipes!
And a big thank you to these two ladies for the running the entire evening: Carol Smock, founder of Brown Dog Foundation and the lovely Deanna Lambert of WSMV Channel 4 news.

Such fun!
LOVE Benny with his Medal!!! Awesome Job!! Nothing to sneeze at!! We need to see some family pictures of Benny AND his “people” (both of them). We’ve seen Benny and dad, and Benny and mom…but not Benny and both–we need to get someone to be able to work your camera and get a session of YOU three!! Give me a few pointers and I would LOVE to take some for you to have and share!! (depending on how my couple of shots today turned out!! hehe)
