It’s a bit of a mystery the hold our dogs have on us. It’s simply magical, isn’t it? I have to admit I have a soft spot for Labs. As you may know, I grew up with a black Lab named Splash. Full of boundless energy, a desire to play and a kind heart. Even though he made it to 14, he was always a puppy! Never lost his spunk for life until his last week – and how difficult that was to watch. Bucca, pictured above, reminded me a lot of him. Loyal, focused and a deep love for the water. She kept me in awe during her session – probably the single, most-focused dog I’ve photographed. My life is so enriched because of the dogs I meet. Does anyone else feel dogs have life figured out better than we do? Love your family unconditionally, never leave the side of those you love, face everyday with vigor and be wary of anything that can outrun you. 😉  They are great gifts to humankind. Give them extra hugs and kisses today!
