A few nights out with the whole family!

With the temperatures down into the 70s in the evenings, it is a great time to grab the leashes and take the dogs out to some of the awesome pet-friendly events that Nashville has to offer. Here are some of my personal picks:

Have you ever been to a Full Moon Pickin’ Party? These are kind of my favorite. Full Moon Pickin’ Parties take place once a month from May to October at the Edwin Warner Equestrian Barn right around time of the full moon. This month’s party will be this Friday, August 20th from 7-11pm. This is a great family and dog-friendly way to spend a Friday night, and talk about an all ages event!! Bring lawn-chairs or a picnic blanket and find a cozy spot to watch the mainstage or you can be like me and mosey around to all the pods of pickers that form throughout the night. Pickin’ Parties bring a smile to my face and always remind me why I love this Nashville community so much! Visit Friends of Warner Parks to check out more info on ticket prices. We all love Centennial Park and now we love it even more on Saturday afternoons!  Musicians Corner happens every Saturday from 3pm-6pm through September 11th. The events are free (yay!) and include an awesome music lineup every week. This week’s artists include Jenny Madison, Like Candy Red, Daniel Ellsworth, Steve Moakler, and maybe a few more! Bring some snacks, a blanket, the leashed pups (as long as it isn’t too hot!), some water, and maybe even your dancin’ shoes. I think Jeffery might attend this one with me since Ittey gets to go to the Pickin’ Party!

And I can’t help but look ahead to next week for the Tailwaggin’ Tailgate Festival at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel on Thursday, August 26th. This event is part of the Rex in The City event series and is presented by Nashville Paw Magazine and Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. The night’s festivities benefit Brown Dog Foundation’s flood relief efforts. The festival kicks off at 6pm and will include contests, live music from Molding and Trevor Finlay, a special meet-and-greet with the Titans Cheerleaders, vendors, adoption booths, and rooftop skyline views of Nashville.
